Assoc. Prof. Van The Trung, MD, PhD is a leading dermatologist specializing in clinical dermatology, aesthetic dermatology, regenerative medicine, basic/pre-clinical research, and the application of laser and energy-based devices in dermatology. As Head of the Dermatology Department at UMP, he plays a central role in curriculum development, residency training, and the modernization of dermatology education in Vietnam.

His research focuses on clinical and translational dermatology, regenerative therapies, and the use of laser and energy-based technologies in aesthetic dermatology. He also serves as an expert advisor to professional councils on dermatologic and aesthetic medical standards.

As founder of VTT Skin Clinic and Van The Trung’s Clinic, he integrates advanced technologies with evidence-based practice, establishing him as one of Vietnam’s prominent figures in dermatology and laser in medicine.
